The Carpenter Helper assists skilled carpenters in the manufacturing and assembly of wooden bed frames, divan bases, headboards, and other wooden components used in mattress and bedding production. The role involves preparing materials, operating basic hand tools, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters in cutting, assembling, and finishing wooden components for beds and mattress bases.
- Load, unload, and transport timber, plywood, MDF, hardware, and other materials within the factory.
- Measure, mark, and prepare wood for cutting and assembly under the guidance of skilled carpenters.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely after receiving appropriate training.
- Hold and position wooden components during assembly, fastening, and finishing operations.
- Sand wooden surfaces and remove rough edges before painting, upholstery, or final assembly.
- Organize and maintain carpentry tools, equipment, and workstations.
- Assist in packing and preparing finished products for delivery.
- Report damaged materials, defective products, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and dispose of waste materials according to company procedures.
- Follow all health, safety, and PPE requirements while working in the production facility.
- Perform any other production-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent preferred.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and woodworking techniques is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a mattress, furniture, woodworking, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Fresh candidates with a willingness to learn may also be considered.
Pay: AED1,200.00 – AED1,400.00 per month
