About the Role
Store Motion LLC is looking for an experienced Carpenter Foreman to lead our joinery production team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily factory operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship, meeting production schedules, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
We are seeking a hands-on leader with extensive experience in custom joinery, woodworking machinery, and the production of high-end interior fit-out and retail furniture.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of carpenters, machine operators, and joinery workers.
- Plan and allocate manpower to achieve production targets and delivery schedules.
- Interpret shop drawings and production drawings accurately.
- Monitor the quality of work throughout the manufacturing process and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of woodworking machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate with the Production Manager, Factory Manager, and Project Team to prioritize production requirements.
- Train, mentor, and monitor carpenters to improve productivity and workmanship.
- Ensure materials are used efficiently while minimizing wastage.
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure compliance with company health and safety policies.
- Conduct daily inspections of work areas and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Resolve production issues and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Ensure completed products are ready for finishing, packing, and dispatch according to project timelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience as a Carpenter Foreman in a joinery manufacturing factory.
- Strong knowledge of custom furniture, cabinetry, doors, wardrobes, wall cladding, counters, display units, and retail fixtures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production plans.
- Experience in supervising factory production teams.
- Sound knowledge of woodworking machinery and joinery manufacturing processes.
- Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English. Hindi/Malayalam is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines.
