We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, including the ability to measure, cut, install, and repair various wooden structures and fixtures. You will be responsible for producing high-quality, detailed carpentry work while ensuring a safe and efficient job site.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Measuring and Cutting Materials: Accurately measure and cut wood, drywall, and other materials according to project requirements.
Constructing and Installing Structures: Build, install, and repair frameworks, structures, and fixtures, such as walls, floors, roofs, cabinets, windows, and doors.
Operating Tools and Machinery: Safely operate power tools (e.g., saws, drills, sanders) and other machinery to cut, shape, and assemble materials.
Ensuring Safety: Follow all safety protocols and wear the necessary protective equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
Installing Fixtures: Install various fixtures such as windows, doors, stairs, cabinets, and shelving units.
Maintaining Equipment: Regularly maintain tools and equipment to ensure their proper functioning.
Performing Repairs: Repair or replace damaged wooden structures or components.
Collaborating with Other Trades: Work alongside electricians, plumbers, and other contractors to complete construction projects.
Finishing and Detailing Work: Sand, stain, and finish wood surfaces, ensuring a smooth and polished final product.
Estimating Material Needs: Calculate the materials needed for the job and order them accordingly.
Ensuring Quality Control: Inspect the work performed and ensure that it meets quality standards and complies with building codes.
Communicating with Clients: Discuss project needs, progress, and any issues with clients or supervisors to ensure satisfaction and project timelines.
Site Cleanup: Clean and maintain the work area, removing any debris or waste materials to maintain a tidy and safe workspace.
Qualifications:
2 years UAE experience (Preferable)
Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a related trade.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and construction materials.
Ability to read and interpret plans, and technical drawings.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Knowledge of building codes, safety protocols, and construction standards.
Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
Very good English command
