Job Summary:

We are looking for a Skilled Carpenter for one of our construction client in Al Ain, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry tasks, including constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures, fixtures, and furniture. As a skilled carpenter, you will work on residential, commercial, and custom projects, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and craftsmanship. The role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Carpentry & Woodworking:
Construct, install, and repair wooden structures, fixtures, and furniture, including doors, windows, cabinets, stairs, and frames.
Measure, cut, shape, and finish wood, drywall, and other materials.
Work with blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to ensure accuracy in execution.
Build custom furniture and cabinetry based on design plans.
Material Selection & Sourcing:
Select the appropriate materials for each job based on specifications and design requirements.
Assist in the procurement of materials and tools needed for projects.
Ensure the quality of materials used in carpentry work and maintain a supply inventory.
Construction & Installation:
Install and finish flooring, siding, drywall, and paneling.
Fit and install hardware such as locks, hinges, and handles in doors and cabinets.
Build frameworks for walls, ceilings, and other structural components of buildings.
Perform demolition, repair, and replacement of damaged wooden structures and furniture.
Measurement & Accuracy:
Measure and cut materials with precision to ensure a perfect fit for the design.
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to complete tasks with exactness.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and regulations during carpentry work to ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain a clean and organized work site.
Ensure compliance with local building codes and standards for carpentry work.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with other tradespeople such as electricians, plumbers, and designers to complete projects on time.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and clients to discuss project progress, needs, and timelines.
Assist in planning and scheduling of carpentry work.
Maintenance & Repair:
Repair and restore wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures as needed.
Provide ongoing maintenance for wooden elements of buildings, including inspecting for wear and tear and ensuring long-term durability.
Quality Control:
Inspect all work to ensure it meets the required standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain a high level of client satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. A certification in carpentry or completion of an apprenticeship program is highly preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of [X] years of experience as a carpenter, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Proven experience with residential and/or commercial carpentry work.
Skills:
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and building codes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and design plans.
Excellent measurement and math skills.
Good problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with clients and other tradespeople.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment as needed.
Comfortable working in various environments, including at heights or in tight spaces.
Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with advanced carpentry techniques such as custom cabinetry, woodworking, and fine finishes.
Familiarity with sustainable building practices and materials.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations specific to the carpentry industry.
Experience working on commercial and large-scale construction projects.

Working Conditions:

Work is typically performed on construction sites, residential homes, or in workshops.
The job may require working in various weather conditions, depending on the project.
Standard work hours, with the possibility of overtime depending on deadlines and project requirements.

Pay: AED1,600.00 – AED2,200.00 per month
