In partnership with the UK’s Imperial College London, the Imperial College London Diabetes & Endocrine Centre (ICLDEC) specializes in treating all types of diabetes and endocrine disorders and focuses on diabetes research, training, and public health awareness. The Centre operates four branches across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra.
Cardiovascular Technologist
The Cardiovascular Technologist supports the delivery of diagnostic and interventional cardiac services by performing a range of non‑invasive and/or invasive cardiovascular procedures. The role works closely with cardiologists and the clinical team to ensure accurate diagnostics, patient safety, and high‑quality care. The position contributes to efficient workflow, adherence to clinical standards, and a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform and assist in cardiovascular diagnostic procedures such as ECGs, echocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitoring, and other related tests.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining processes, positioning, and ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain cardiovascular diagnostic equipment in line with clinical and safety standards.
- Monitor patients during procedures and promptly report any abnormalities to the physician.
- Accurately record, document, and support the interpretation of test results.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, quality, and JCIA standards.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support smooth patient flow and service delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a related Cardiovascular program.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a cardiac diagnostic or catheterization setting.
- Familiarity with a range of cardiovascular procedures and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience in a JCIA‑accredited healthcare facility is preferred.
- Good understanding of patient safety protocols and clinical standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients and clinical teams.
- Proficiency in English;
Arabic language skills are an advantage.
