Job Summary
The Automotive Polisher is responsible for polishing painted vehicles to achieve a clean, smooth, and glossy finish. The role includes removing minor scratches, swirl marks, and polishing defects while ensuring every vehicle is ready for customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Polish vehicles using polishing machines and hand tools.
- Remove swirl marks, light scratches, sanding marks, and other minor paint defects.
- Check the condition of the paint before starting work.
- Use the correct polishing compounds, pads, and materials for each job.
- Ensure all vehicles have a high-quality finish before delivery.
- Protect trims, glass, and other parts of the vehicle during polishing.
- Clean and maintain polishing machines, pads, and other tools after use.
- Report any major paint defects or damage to the supervisor.
- Work closely with painters and body repair technicians to complete jobs on time.
- Keep the work area clean and follow all workshop safety rules.
- Handle customer vehicles carefully and avoid causing any damage.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an automotive polisher.
- Experience working with luxury or premium vehicles is preferred.
- Good knowledge of polishing machines, compounds, and polishing pads.
- Ability to identify paint defects and choose the correct polishing method.
- Good attention to detail and ability to produce a clean, glossy finish.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
- Willing to work overtime when required.
