Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Car Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality painting jobs on vehicles while ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to safety and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all types of vehicle painting jobs with high quality and efficiency.
Deliver vehicles on time while ensuring excellent workmanship.
Diagnose and troubleshoot paint defects, ensuring all painted units meet quality standards.
Work according to standard paint procedures and industry best practices.
Operate and use all body shop equipment properly and safely.
Ensure all tools and equipment are clean and in proper working condition.
Mask and protect vehicle parts that are not to be painted or coated.
Mix paint according to specifications to achieve the desired color and consistency.
Apply paint using sprayers or brushes as appropriate.
Inspect finished work for quality, noting any runs, sags, or unpainted areas.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to stay updated with rapidly evolving automotive technology.
Maintain and wear all required safety and personal protective equipment, including a respirator.
Comply with all laws and regulations related to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials, reporting any deviations to management.
Support apprentices/helpers by providing training, explanations, and practical demonstrations to ensure job correctness and quality.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Car Painter in an automotive body shop.
Strong knowledge of standard methods and practices of automotive painting.
Ability to diagnose and use tools effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high work standards consistently.
Good English communication skills.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in automotive painting or a related field is an advantage.
Prior experience in a luxury automotive workshop is preferred.
