Job Description
Design server solutions.
Develop detailed implementation plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers.
Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
Perform regular server updates, patches, and backups
Implement and enforce server security policies.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Provide technical support to end-users and resolve server-related issues.
Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical problems.
Document server configurations, processes, and procedures.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans.
Perform regular data backups and test recovery procedures.
Identify and implement improvements to enhance server and network performance.
Monitor resource utilization and plan for capacity upgrades as needed.
Qualifications & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Server Administrator or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
Certifications such as ITIL, MCSE, CCNA are preferred
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
