Description
About the role
As a Business Support & Financial Control Analyst, you will support the business with financial analyses, budgeting/forecasting, variance analyses, management reporting, and financial business cases (e.g., investments, insource vs outsource). You will focus on creating value to improve decision-making and streamline processes.
Job Responsibilities
Develop financial models and conduct analyses using various quantitative tools. Report actual revenues and costs; perform root-cause variance analyses for management on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with finance stakeholders and the business.
Perform ad hoc revenue and cost analyses for senior management.
Develop and report key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly in conjunction with the business.
Ensure financial reporting aligns with corporate and finance definitions.
Optimize reporting processes for route profitability, financial accounting, and management reporting.
Review and validate annual budget submissions against strategic targets.
Monitor and control expenditures to meet cost of sales targets, recommending corrective actions as needed.
Assess business case proposals for potential revenue increases or cost reductions.
Review contracts and agreements for financial compliance.
Consolidate and analyze financial results monthly and during the budgeting cycle.
Perform additional departmental duties as assigned by the Business Finance manager.

Qualifications
About you
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
Experience as a financial analyst.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
Strong attention to detail with analytical skills to interpret variances and understand business cycles’ impact on P&L.
Proficiency in English.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Access, and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational skills to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and add value to internal customers.
Innovative thinking with high motivation and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of internal finance systems, cost center accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Preferred
Experience in the airline industry.
