We are seeking a Registered Nurse holding a valid DOH License or DOH Eligibility Letter to join our team. The ideal candidate should have prior working experience in OB GYNE and Operation Theatre (OT). Must be passionate about reproductive healthcare. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a specialized fertility clinic environment.
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) with OB/Gyne and Operation Theatre experience at an IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) clinic plays a key role in providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing fertility treatments. This includes preoperative, operative, and postoperative care for IVF procedures, as well as providing ongoing support to patients during their fertility journey. The RN will work in close collaboration with the fertility specialists, embryologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal care and treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
IVF Treatment Support:
Pre-Treatment Care: Assist patients in preparing for IVF cycles, including administering medications like gonadotropins, monitoring hormone levels, and educating patients about the IVF process.
Oocyte Retrieval and Embryo Transfer: Assist in egg retrieval procedures by ensuring patient comfort and safety during the procedure. Provide support to the patient during the embryo transfer, including sterile preparation and post-procedure care.
Assisting with Ultrasounds and Hormonal Monitoring: Assist physicians in performing ultrasound scans and blood tests to monitor ovarian response during IVF cycles.
Medication Management: Educate patients on injectable medications, manage medication schedules, and monitor for side effects. Administer medications as prescribed by the IVF team.
Operation Theatre Duties:
Prepare and maintain sterile environments for IVF-related surgical procedures (e.g., egg retrieval, embryo transfer).
Provide assistance in the operating room, positioning patients, preparing the sterile field, and assisting with surgical instruments during the IVF procedures.
Monitor patient vital signs during egg retrieval and embryo transfer.
Ensure the proper handling and labeling of embryos and other samples during IVF-related procedures.
Assist the surgical team during the retrieval of oocytes (eggs) and ensure safe and effective transfer of embryos into the patient’s uterus.
Patient Education & Emotional Support:
Offer clear and compassionate education regarding IVF procedures, including pre-treatment, treatment, and aftercare instructions.
Provide emotional support to patients and couples, as IVF can be a stressful and emotionally challenging process.
Educate patients on lifestyle adjustments, dietary recommendations, and other factors that can impact fertility and IVF success.
Discuss the potential risks, side effects, and expected outcomes with patients undergoing IVF.
Pre- and Post-Operative Care:
Provide preoperative assessments, including vital signs, lab work, and medication review.
Ensure that patients are comfortable and properly prepared for IVF-related procedures.
Post-operative monitoring, including assessing for complications or adverse reactions following IVF procedures.
Offer post-procedure care instructions, including signs of potential complications, pain management, and follow-up care after egg retrieval and embryo transfer.
Documentation & Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, medication logs, and progress reports.
Document all patient interactions, medications, treatments, and observations in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Provide detailed reporting of any adverse reactions, complications, or changes in patient condition to the fertility specialists and other healthcare team members.
Laboratory and Specimen Handling:
Assist in the handling of semen samples, ensuring proper collection and processing for fertilization.
Work closely with embryologists to ensure the proper transfer of embryos, including clear labeling and tracking of patient samples.
Coordination and Communication:
Act as a liaison between the IVF team (doctors, embryologists, and lab technicians) and patients to ensure seamless communication.
Coordinate with external labs for genetic testing, hormone monitoring, and other IVF-related diagnostics.
Maintain effective communication with patients, ensuring they are informed throughout the IVF process, including updates on treatment progress and next steps.
Emergency Care:
Respond to any medical emergencies or complications related to IVF treatments, such as ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).
Be prepared to assist with emergency procedures and interventions when necessary.
Qualifications:

✅ Willing to relocate and be assigned in Abu Dhabi
