Role Overview
My client is seeking an experienced Business Development Leader to support the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic growth opportunities across international infrastructure and utility markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, assessing project viability, and building relationships with key stakeholders to support long-term organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities aligned with corporate growth objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, industry stakeholders, and strategic partners.
- Conduct market analysis and assess the commercial viability of prospective projects and investments.
- Develop financial models and support business case preparation for new opportunities.
- Work closely with internal commercial, finance, and investment teams to evaluate potential transactions and partnerships.
- Monitor budgets and provide financial reporting and variance analysis to management.
- Adapt business development strategies in response to changing market conditions and stakeholder feedback.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, utilities, energy, or industrial sectors.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in business development, strategy, corporate development, or a related commercial function.
- Previous experience leading teams or managing projects and stakeholders.
- Strong financial analysis, commercial evaluation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Experience working across international or emerging markets is advantageous.
- Additional language skills would be beneficial but are not essential.
