Currently, House of Shipping is recruiting for aSales Managerfor a leading global freight forwarding company.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Have a good knowledge of Container Shipping Line and Freight Forwarding.
Responsible for developing sales plans and providing data analysis.
Have a strong knowledge of the local market, competitors, and industry trends.
Develop local sales support tools and assist in building individual customer strategies, including identification of new potential clients.
Support individual sales staff for their target accounts.
Leverage internal and external relationships to expand business opportunities.
Research and recommend prospects for new business opportunities.
Build and maintain relationships with existing clients and prospects.
Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements.
Build and maintain professional networks.
Background and experience
6+ years’ experience within Sales, preferably with experience in container shipping sales and liner background.
Knowledge of containers and their movement, trade lanes, ports, pricing, customs, and necessary legal requirements.
Education
requirements
Graduate, good computer skills (shipping software, Cargowise).
Language requirements
Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
