Overview
Business Analyst – Intern Jobs in Sharjah, UAE/Dubai at Gulf Associates
We are looking for a Business Analyst – Intern to support our commercial research and counter party analysis. In this role, you will assist our senior advisors in gathering the essential data that forms our advisory positions. Our partner provides operational support for a logistics initiative, and a key portion of your initial focus will involve looking at operational trends, tracking regional counter party behavior, and framing practical options for this project.
This is a full‑time, paid position offering competitive pay for the role and market.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, combining the flexibility of remote analysis with structured, in‑person collaboration sessions at our team workspace. This allows you to focus on deep research while still sitting with senior leaders to review findings and observe how strategic advisory works in real time.
What you will do
- Conduct targeted qualitative research on competitor actions, market realities, and prospective project counter parties.
- Collect and organize ground reality intelligence instead of relying on high‑level, generic consultancy reports.
- Assist in drafting detailed commercial profiles and scenario work to help clients make informed capital decisions.
- Monitor and analyze the operational dynamics of our logistics support project to identify upcoming risks or opportunities.
- Help prepare clear, evidence‑based documents and slide decks for high‑stakes regulatory and negotiation sessions.
- Coordinate with senior partners to track key commercial and policy changes within the territory.
What we are looking for
- An academic background or key personal interest in economics, business administration, logistics, or commercial law.
- A strong commercial curiosity and an interest in how deals are finalized, focusing on real‑world outcomes over theory.
- Clear and structured writing abilities, with the skill to explain complex ideas in simple, direct language.
- Persistent research habits and the discipline to verify structural facts through multiple, independent channels.
- Basic comfort with spreadsheet tools to assist in analyzing operational and financial metrics.
- The organization needed to balance focused remote output with active participation during our in‑person hybrid sessions.
What the role offers
- Direct interaction with firm partners who lead our advisory engagements from start to finish.
- A balanced hybrid working style that preserves quiet workspace hours alongside structured team days.
- Competitive pay for an entry‑level position with realistic possibilities for professional development.
- Exposure to commercial decisions involving sovereign entities, major private companies, and complex joint ventures.
