Job Description:
The Business Analyst (Engineer) plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders in the design and implementation of advanced digital solutions tailored for the engineering sector. This position is responsible for conducting in-depth analyses of current engineering workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and proposinginnovative solutionsthat align with the organization’s mission to drivedigital transformation. The incumbent will work collaboratively withcross-functional teams, gathering and documenting requirements, defining project scopes, and ensuring that engineering projects contribute effectively to the broader goals ofsustainabilityand community welfare.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a keen understanding of engineering principles and the digital landscape while utilizing strong analytical andcommunication skillsto translate complex technical jargon into actionable insights for stakeholders. Furthermore, the role will require the application ofdata-driven decision-makingprocesses to support the strategic objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Engineering from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with government entities or in engineering offices, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful project deliveries.
Extensive knowledge and familiarity with engineering processes, plans, and standards typically utilized within engineering offices.
Proven track recordof analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical specifications in a clear and methodical manner.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies to effectively derive insights from complex data sets.
Experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members across various levels.
Demonstrated competence inproject managementprinciples and methodologies, including experience in formulating project milestones and deliverables.
Understanding of digital solutions within the engineering domain, including knowledge of contemporary software and tools used in engineering projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing engineering operations and workflows to identify areas for improvement and potentialdigital transformationopportunities.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to elicit, document, and validate business and technical requirements for new projects and initiatives.
Develop and maintain detailed process maps and specifications that provide clarity on project objectives and engineering methodologies.
Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather input and feedback, ensuring alignment on project goals and expectations.
Perform gap analysis on existing systems and processes to support the integration ofinnovativedigital solutions that enhance engineering practices.
Present findings, recommendations, and project updates tosenior managementand stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner, ensuring understanding and buy-in.
Assist in the development ofchange managementstrategies and training programs to support the successful adoption of new processes and systems.
