Overview
Business Analyst Jobs in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates at Parados Consulting
Title: Business Analyst
Company: Parados Consulting
Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Our affiliate partner Parados Consulting in UAE is looking for Business Analyst for short term contract for a well known conglomerate in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and inventory data sources across Operations, Finance, Procurement, and HR — what data exists, where it resides (systems, databases, files, third parties), who owns it, its format, and its quality/completeness at a descriptive level.
• Conduct structured interviews and workshops with department stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for the AI platform's expansion.
• Document findings using client’s standard formats (data catalogues, requirement templates) so outputs feed directly into the IT team's API design and build.
• Support the IT team during API development by clarifying data sources, validating field-level details, chasing access and answers from the business, and supporting testing/validation of data flowing into the platform.
• Maintain a structured log of open questions, decisions, and dependencies for each department.
What This Role Is Not
The following are explicitly out of scope for this role:
• Solution development
• Model or prompt engineering • System configuration
• AI strategy or maturity assessment • Vendor analysis
• Board advisory outputs
Candidate Profile
Essential
• 2-3 years experience as a Business Analyst, ideally spanning multiple business functions (e.g. Operations, Finance, Procurement, HR).
• Strong data discovery skills — comfortable identifying, mapping, and describing data sources, owners, and formats without needing to build or access the underlying systems.
• Confident running structured interviews and workshops with stakeholders across departments and seniority levels.
• Strong documentation discipline — able to produce clear, consistent outputs (data catalogues, requirements documents, RAID/decision logs) to a defined template.
• Comfortable working alongside a technical/IT team, translating business input into a form that supports API design, without needing to design or build the APIs themselves.
• Strong stakeholder management and follow-up skills — able to chase access, answers, and sign-off from busy business stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
• Prior experience on a data or AI/analytics platform programme (as a business-side analyst, not a technical builder).
• Familiarity with data cataloguing concepts (data owners, lineage, quality, completeness) at a descriptive/non-technical level.
• Experience working in or with Operations, Finance, Procurement, or HR functions specifically.
Engagement Details
• Duration: 3 months, with potential for extension depending on programme progress.
• Reports to: Client's Head of IT and programme lead.
• Deliverables: department-level data catalogues, documented business requirements, and a maintained log of open questions, decisions, and dependencies per department.
