Job Summary: The Quality Controller will be responsible for overseeing the quality of garments from fabric selection through to final production. The role involves conducting fabric tests, inspecting patterns, and ensuring garments are produced to exact specifications as outlined in technical sheets. This position is pivotal to maintaining the brand’s reputation for excellence and ensuring a flawless product reaches our discerning clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct quality checks on fabrics and trims before production.
Ensure all fabrics meet pre-defined quality standards, including durability, colorfastness, and texture.
Review and validate garment patterns against design specifications.
Collaborate with pattern makers and designers to rectify any inconsistencies.
Inspect garments at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Evaluate seam integrity, stitching quality, finishing details, and overall craftsmanship.
Verify that measurements and design elements adhere strictly to technical specifications.
Identify and rectify any deviations in size, structure, or detailing.
Ensure that each garment produced matches the technical sheet specifications.
Conduct a thorough comparison of prototypes and production samples to the approved standards.
Approve final products only if they meet the company’s quality benchmarks.
Prepare detailed quality control reports and provide feedback to production teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Quality Controller or similar role in the fashion industry, preferably luxury women’s wear.
Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric testing, and pattern-making.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using measurement tools and technical sheets.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with design, production, and pattern-making teams.
