Job Title: Accountant and Taxation Officer

As an Accountant and Taxation Officer, you will play a crucial role in developing long-term relationships with customers and overseeing sales operations at our new branch in Dubai.
Your responsibilities will include:
– Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger accounts, financial statements, and other financial reports
– Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
– Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable
– Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
– Prepare and submit tax returns and other government documents
– Assist with audits and provide support to auditors as needed
– Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
– Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices
– Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS
– Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
– Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts
– Prepare and review budget forecasts and financial projections
– Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audit preparations
– Stay current on accounting regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards
– Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
As a Taxation Officer
– Prepare and file corporate tax returns accurately and on time
– Ensure VAT compliance and timely submission of returns
– Maintain accurate financial records following IFRS standards
– Develop tax optimization strategies within legal boundaries
– Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure compliance
– Support during tax audits and handle FTA queries
– Liaise with tax authorities and consultants as needed
– Perform financial analysis and account reconciliations.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
– Partially qualified CA/ACCAs having 4-6 years financial reporting, accounting and book-keeping experience are needed.
– Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience
– Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS and financial reporting requirements
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
– Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
– Proficiency in accounting software Tally Prime, ZOHO Books, QuickBooks and MS Excel
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
