Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Boarding Officer to join our Maritime Operations team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting vessel operations, coordinating port formalities, and handling clearances with immigration, customs, and port authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend vessels during arrival and departure operations.
- Coordinate with ship crew, vessel owners, port authorities, immigration, and customs.
- Handle vessel clearance procedures and required documentation.
- Follow up on vessel schedules and operational requirements.
- Ensure all required documents are prepared and submitted on time.
- Maintain proper records of vessel operations and activities.
- Report operational updates to the management team.
- Support the operations team with daily maritime activities.
- Follow company safety procedures and port regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in maritime, port agency, or vessel operations.
Experience in handling:
– Vessel operations
– Customs clearance
– Port documentation and procedures
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent operational requirements.
- Good knowledge of English language.
- Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
- Heavy equipment driving license will be an added advantage.
- Candidate must be able to obtain CID clearance and port access approval easily.
- Open to candidates of any nationality who meet port access requirements.
- Candidates with experience in port agency companies, shipping companies, vessel husbandry services, terminal or port operations will be preferred.
