Description
The MEP Technicians will be multi-skilled technicians with the ability and qualifications to undertake both mechanical, electrical, plumbing, instrumentation system maintenance tasks. The MEP Technicians will be responsible for carrying out allocated project installation control system fault diagnosis and measure, monitor, and control a process. carry out remedial repairs on project works.
To be able to work independently with minimal supervision where appropriate, or work as part of a team. Quality of project works, and safe working practices are paramount in carrying out the duties.
Responsibilities
MEP technician responsibility managing and maintaining equipment, which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, plants, and provide technical support with excellent troubleshooting skills. They must but not limited to:
In-depth knowledge of MEP elements.
Strong knowledge required on the Heavy pool MEP systems
Carry out the preventive, reactive and corrective maintenance of all MEP equipment’s and elements including the electrical installations such as, lighting control system, DB’s VFD, control and monitoring devices, equipment’s, emergency lighting and small power, etc. not limited
Integrate and communicate effectively with other technical staff as required.
Carry out project activities adhere to Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures.
Conform to all necessary internal and/or external approvals before, during and after project work including Permit to Work and Lockout / Tag Out procedures.
Maintain up to date knowledge through technical training provided by the Supervisor for the safe and efficient operation of all project duties.
Participate in the Health, Safety & Risk programs including toolbox talks, health safety and environmental training related to work activities especially electrical safety and working at heights.
Use safe systems of work when working with all building services electrical equipment.
Record keeping filing
Swimming pool / water fountain requirements – chlorine, ph, temperature monitor and standard levels
Basic AV Equipment’s knowledge and basic troubleshooting
Should be aware of reviewing the drawings / Circuit diagram
Capable of recording Heat Loss Parameter (HLP) meter readings
Knowledge on plant operations, RO plant
Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units
Basic knowledge of laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, health club equipment, and other machineries.
Knowledge of fire alarm systems & Firefighting system, including panel maintenance and reset procedures, Steam Room, Swimming pool heating/cooling system
Maintain strong customer relations.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Use hand and power tools
Inspect the scaffolding as per the requirement for safe usage as an add-on skill.
Licensed MEWP operator as an add on skill.
A keen eye for detail.
Complete work orders on time
Create records of materials used
Requirements
Previous experience working as an MEP technician.
In-depth knowledge of MEP equipment’s and elements.
Flexibility, excellent attention to detail and ability to identify key issues.
Able to work under stringent deadlines and high-pressure environment.
Technically competent with a clear technical understanding of buildings Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services, and its associated equipment.
Proficient and able to demonstrate a complete understanding of MEP planned maintenance and repair services.
Technical and safety awareness with a clear understanding of electrical safety, permit to works, processes, procedures, use of electrical tools and associated test equipment.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
High level of physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
Note: Minimum 2-3 years of experience required
