Description
The work of a brick mason involves various functions that make them indispensable in the construction industry.
Typical responsibilities include:
Lay out foundations and patterns using measuring tools such as straightedges and rules.
Verify the vertical and horizontal alignment of structures using levels and plumb bobs.
Mix specific amounts of sand, cement, lime, and water to form mortar or refractory mixtures.
Spread mortar on slabs and surfaces to fuse bricks, tiles, or blocks together.
