Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain biomedical and dental equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on dental equipment, including dental chairs, X-ray units, autoclaves, compressors, suction systems, curing lights, and sterilization equipment.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, troubleshoot technical issues, and carry out timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections, calibration, safety testing, and performance verification of biomedical and dental devices.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors and service providers for warranty claims, annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), and specialized repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, equipment inventory, and asset documentation.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements for biomedical equipment.
- Provide technical support and user training to clinical and dental staff on the proper operation and care of equipment.
- Assist in the procurement, evaluation, installation, and acceptance testing of new biomedical and dental equipment.
- Monitor equipment lifecycle, recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacements based on performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure the availability of spare parts and consumables required for maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with clinical departments to resolve equipment-related issues and support uninterrupted patient care.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.
- Participate in quality assurance programs, audits, and accreditation activities related to biomedical equipment management.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and electrical safety standards while servicing medical and dental equipment.
