Education Pathways is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Biology Instructor with strong expertise in key areas such as genetics, microbiology, ecology, molecular biology, human anatomy and physiology. The role involves teaching theoretical and laboratory-based biology, supporting academic development, and fostering scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and analytical skills among students.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured and engaging lectures and laboratory sessions in Biology
- Develop and prepare comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments
- Conduct laboratory sessions in accordance with established safety protocols and academic standards
- Supervise and guide students in practical experiments, scientific observations, and investigations
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive academic feedback
- Support the development of students’ conceptual understanding, scientific reasoning, and analytical skills
- Promote academic engagement, curiosity, and interest in the biological sciences
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Biology or a related scientific discipline with at least 3 years of teaching experience, or Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of teaching experience, preferably at the higher education level, from a Western accredited university.
- Native or near-native proficiency in English
- Demonstrated expertise in key areas such as genetics, microbiology, ecology, molecular biology, and human anatomy and physiology
- Strong foundation in biological sciences and laboratory methodologies
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Ability to deliver course materials, including clear lab instructions and technical notes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to assess student performance fairly and effectively
- Ability to motivate and inspire students in science
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
- Strong multitasking skills with ability to prioritize workload
