About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator with a Civil Engineering background to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, execution, and management of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Project Managers in the coordination of civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure adherence to project schedules.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, progress updates, and project files.
Communicate with stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and vendors, to ensure smooth project execution.
Support in managing project budgets and track expenses to ensure the project remains within financial constraints.
Assist in the preparation of proposals, contracts, and change orders as needed.
Review and analyze project plans and blueprints to identify any potential issues.
Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment for the project, ensuring timely delivery.
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Assist in addressing any project-related issues or delays, proposing solutions as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
0-4 years of experience in project coordination or civil engineering.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Good understanding of civil engineering principles, construction processes, and project management tools.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar) is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Desired Skills:
Basic understanding of construction contracts, project scheduling, and budgeting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and project requirements.
