Plumber
Duties & Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.
Fit and repair pipes, valves, fittings, pumps, and water heaters.
Assemble, install, and test gas supply systems (if certified for gas plumbing).
Identify and diagnose leaks, clogs, and low water pressure issues.
Repair or replace damaged pipes, fittings, or plumbing components.
Use tools such as pipe wrenches, plungers, and hydro jets to clear blockages and restore proper flow.
Ensure all plumbing work adheres to local building codes and safety regulations.
Conduct pressure tests and system inspections to detect faults.
Prevent backflow contamination and ensure water quality compliance.
Respond to plumbing emergencies, such as burst pipes, sewage backups, or flooding.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce system failures.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans to assess pipe layouts and fixture placements.
Follow technical specifications and project requirements for new plumbing installations.
Work with electricians, HVAC technicians, and construction teams to ensure seamless plumbing installations.
Communicate with clients, property managers, and contractors regarding plumbing needs and project timelines.
Provide cost estimates for repairs, replacements, and new installations.
Requirements:
2–5 years of experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, or repair.
Experience working in residential, commercial, or industrial plumbing.
