JOB OVERVIEW
Infinite Sports is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Basketball Coach to join our coaching team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality basketball training sessions, supporting player growth, and creating a positive and engaging environment for athletes of all ages and abilities.
The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of basketball fundamentals, player development principles, and effective coaching practices. This role may also involve participation in camps, school programs, tournaments, and special events throughout the year.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Basketball Session Delivery :
Conduct structured basketball training sessions that focus on skill development, game understanding, teamwork, and physical conditioning while adapting activities to suit different age groups and abilities.
2. Player Development :
Assess individual player performance and provide constructive feedback to help participants improve technical skills, confidence, and overall game performance.
3. Training Planning :
Prepare weekly coaching plans and practice schedules that align with program objectives and support long-term athlete development.
4. Game & Tactical Education :
Teach basketball rules, strategies, offensive and defensive concepts, and decision-making skills through drills, scrimmages, and match situations.
5. Attendance & Progress Tracking :
Maintain accurate attendance records and monitor player development to support program reporting and performance reviews.
6. Facility & Equipment Care :
Ensure basketball equipment and training areas are prepared before sessions and maintained in a safe and organized condition at all times.
7. Safety & Welfare :
Follow all safeguarding, health, and safety procedures while prioritizing participant wellbeing during training sessions, matches, and events.
8. Coaching Team Support :
Work closely with fellow coaches and support staff to ensure consistency in coaching delivery and a positive experience for all participants.
9. Parent & Participant Engagement :
Develop professional relationships with players and parents by providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and promoting a welcoming environment.
10. Tournament & Event Support :
Assist with basketball tournaments, academy events, school competitions, and holiday camps as required.
11. Professional Standards :
Represent the organization in a professional manner and contribute positively to the growth and reputation of the basketball program.
12. Reporting Structure :
Reports directly to the Academy Manager – Infinite Sports LLC / Absolute Sports LLC.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Recognized Basketball Coaching Certification
- Minimum 2 -3 years of basketball coaching experience
- Valid driving license preferred
- Safeguarding certification/ Child Protection certification
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Valid Police Clearance certificate
Core Skills:
- Strong knowledge of basketball techniques and game concepts
- Excellent communication and motivational skills
- Ability to coach players across various age groups and ability levels
- Basic computer skills for attendance tracking and reporting
Education:
- Bachelor’s (Required)
Experience:
- Coaching: 2 years (Required)
Language:
- Fluently in English (Required)
License/Certification:
- Iqama to work in Saudi (Required)
