Position Overview:
The Accountant in a tourism company is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of accounting principles specific to the tourism and hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting:
Record and maintain financial transactions, including income and expenses.
Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
Monitor cash flow and prepare periodic financial reports for management.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements.
Reconcile accounts and ensure timely payments from customers.
Manage supplier and vendor accounts, ensuring accurate and prompt payments.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor company expenditures and suggest cost-saving measures.
Taxation & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, GST, and other relevant taxes.
Prepare and submit tax returns and liaise with tax authorities when needed.
Keep up-to-date with changes in financial laws and regulations.
Payroll Management:
Process employee salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
Ensure compliance with payroll tax and labor laws.
Reconciliation & Auditing:
Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Coordinate with auditors and assist in financial audits.
Financial Analysis & Cost Control:
Analyze revenue streams and operational costs.
Provide financial insights to improve profitability.
Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with the sales, operations, and reservations teams.
Assist management in financial decision-making.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,500.00 – AED4,500.00 per month
