Mach 1 Panel & Paint is seeking experienced Automotive Spray Painters with strong skills in waterborne paint systems to join our high‑performing team in Australia. This role is open to qualified overseas candidates who meet Australian visa requirements.
Role Overview
You will carry out high‑quality refinishing work on a wide range of vehicles using modern equipment, OEM‑approved processes, and premium paint systems. This is a full‑time, long‑term position with employer sponsorship available.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, mask, prime, and refinish vehicles to OEM standards
- Mix and apply waterborne paints accurately and efficiently
- Colour‑match using spectrophotometer tools and tinting techniques
- Complete sanding, polishing, and finishing to a high standard
- Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work practices
- Work effectively within a modern, fast‑paced workshop
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years full‑time experience as an Automotive Spray Painter
- Proven experience with waterborne paint systems (Glasurit, PPG, Standox, Spies Hecker, etc.)
- Strong understanding of OEM refinishing processes
- Good English communication skills
- Currently working overseas and willing to relocate to Australia
Highly Regarded
- Experience working on prestige vehicles (Mercedes‑Benz, BMW, Audi, Lexus, etc.)
- Dealership‑level or manufacturer‑approved workshop experience
- Exposure to high‑volume or insurance‑approved repair environments
