Automation Engineer (Qatar – Local Hiring Only)
We are currently looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in Qatar. Candidates must be locally available in Qatar with relevant experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer industries.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Industrial Control Systems within oil & gas / petrochemical / fertilizer plants
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Turbo Machinery Control & Protection Systems
- Proven experience in:
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of automation systems
- Shutdown and routine maintenance activities
- Good understanding of:
- HSE standards and safe work practices in industrial environments
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, corrective, and shutdown maintenance of automation systems
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of control systems
- Maintain and improve reliability of DCS, SIS, and other automation systems
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide root cause analysis
- Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and operational standards
- Support project execution, engineering activities, and system upgrades
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for smooth execution of work
Additional Requirements
- Experience in large-scale industrial plants is required
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices for automation systems is an advantage
- Ability to work in a site-based, fast-paced environment
- Willing to be on call duty when required
