Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of industrial automation systems within a large-scale petrochemical/fertilizer plant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining DCS, ESD, PLC, Turbo Machinery Control Systems, Safety Systems, and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities for automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain DCS, ESD, PLC, Fire & Gas, and Safety Instrumented Systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Turbo Machinery Control and Protection Systems.
- Support automation projects, system upgrades, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for automation system failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industrial cybersecurity requirements for automation assets.
- Support spare parts planning and automation system reliability improvement.
- Maintain technical documentation and engineering reports.
- Participate in shutdown activities and emergency maintenance support when required.
- Follow company HSE, Permit to Work (PTW), and management system requirements.
Technical Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Automation Maintenance.
- Experience in Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Oil & Gas, or Chemical industries.

- Honeywell Safety Systems
- Triconex Safety Systems
- Siemens S7 PLC
- Allen Bradley PLC
Turbo Machinery Control Systems
- Bently Nevada Vibration Monitoring System
- CCC Anti-Surge Control System
- Triconex ITCC System
- Woodward Governor Systems
- MARK VIe Gas Turbine Control System
Additional Skills
- Knowledge of Industrial Control System (ICS) cybersecurity and networking.
- Knowledge of computer hardware/software troubleshooting.
- Functional Safety certification is preferred.
- Good technical report writing and communication skills in English.
- Ability to work in multicultural industrial environments.
