Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Draftsman to support the engineering team in preparing detailed electrical drawings for solar PV projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing drawings related to PV layouts, single line diagrams, cable routing, earthing, lightning protection, equipment layouts, and as-built documentation as per project, client, and authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical drawings for solar PV projects including rooftop, ground-mounted, and commercial solar systems.
- Draft PV module layout, inverter layout, string layout, cable routing, containment, trench, earthing, and lightning protection drawings.
- Prepare and update Single Line Diagrams, schematic drawings, termination details, and equipment installation details.
- Coordinate with Electrical Engineers for design inputs, revisions, and technical clarifications.
- Prepare drawings for submission, approval, construction, and as-built stages.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, client requirements, authority standards, and company drafting standards.
- Revise drawings based on consultant/client comments and maintain proper revision records.
- Support BOQ and quantity take-off preparation from drawings when required.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, and mechanical teams to avoid clashes in drawings.
- Maintain proper documentation of all project drawings and ensure timely submission.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / ITI / Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering or Drafting.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman.
- Experience in solar PV / renewable energy projects is preferred.
- UAE / GCC experience will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of electrical layouts, SLDs, cable routing, earthing, and installation details.
- Basic knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, modules, AC/DC cabling, and electrical equipment.
- Ability to read and understand electrical design drawings and project specifications.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and drawing/document control procedures.
Pay: AED2,500.00 – AED3,500.00 per month
