Roles & Responsibilities:
· Diagnose and make cost-effective repairs on vehicles
· Provide timely maintenance reports on vehicles
· Maintain vehicles by ordering parts, properly maintaining equipment, and conducting regular inspections
· Be responsible for securing, storing, and organizing parts
· Stock parts and supplies as needed
· Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to automobiles
· Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with engines and transmissions
· Maintain service records
· Communicate with technicians, customers, and management regarding automotive issues
· Work with sales department to repair damaged automobiles
· Train new employees
· Work overtime and weekends as necessary
· Leverage your mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot complex automotive issues
· Maintain proper tools and equipment
· Document and report vehicle repairs.
Requirements:
3+ years’ experience as a mechanic
Knowledge of cars, trucks, vans, and off-road vehicles
Knowledge of automotive systems and their effect on vehicle operation
Knowledge of vehicle inspection and repair practices
