Job Description
Management of purchasing requirements, handling orders for selected custom commodities (with a main focus on forgings)
Ensuring the supply of materials, raw materials, goods and services within the required time, quantity, quality and price
Checking confirmations, delivery dates and invoices for ordered materials
Communication with suppliers in English/German via email
Cooperation with sales in inquiring and designing technical solutions, reading and processing drawing documentation
Cooperation with the warehouse, control and optimization of inventory levels in the warehouse
Cooperation with other departments (production, logistics, maintenance, technical department, etc.)
Resolving complaints regarding purchased goods and services, damage reports, notifying of deadlines, problems and critical situations, rescheduling and intervention in production if necessary (non-conforming material, delayed delivery, urgent request from the customer, etc.)
Updating purchasing data of entrusted commodity in the ERP system
Creating and maintaining a database of suppliers, or vendors, materials and services
Preparation of overviews and reports related to purchasing
Job Experience
Personal requirements and skills
Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a similar purchasing position in a manufacturing company
– technical education, reading drawing documentation, technical thinking
– experience with purchasing production and non-production materials and services
– knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier and purchasing conditions
