About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Authority Architect to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all architectural authority submissions and approvals, ensuring projects comply with the requirements of Abu Dhabi authorities from the design stage through project completion.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience dealing with local authorities, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal design teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit architectural drawings and documents to relevant Abu Dhabi authorities for approval.
- Coordinate with authorities to obtain design approvals, No Objection Certificates (NOCs), permits, and completion certificates.
- Ensure all designs comply with Abu Dhabi Municipality regulations, building codes, and authority requirements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities throughout the approval process.
- Track submission status and proactively follow up to ensure timely approvals.
- Review architectural drawings for compliance before submission.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve authority comments and technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of submissions, approvals, and correspondence.
- Keep up to date with changes in local regulations, codes, and authority requirements.
- Support project teams throughout the design and construction phases regarding authority-related matters.
Requirements
✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
✔ Minimum 5 years of UAE experience, including at least 3 years handling Abu Dhabi authority approvals.
✔ Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi authority regulations, submission procedures, and building codes.
✔ Experience with engineering consultancy firms is highly preferred.
✔ Excellent communication and coordination skills.
✔ Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
✔ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and PDF editing software.
✔ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with luxury villas, residential compounds, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Strong relationships and experience coordinating with Abu Dhabi government authorities.
- Immediate availability is an advantage.
