In this role, you aren’t just a reviewer of records; you are a trusted advisor to our clients. You will lead field engagements, mentor junior staff, and ensure that our audit quality remains the gold standard in Qatar’s competitive business landscape.
Your Core Responsibilities
- Engagement Leadership: Plan and execute various external audit engagements from start to finish, ensuring they are completed within budget and timeline.
- IFRS Expert: Prepare and review financial statements in strict accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Risk Assessment: Identify complex financial and operational risks, providing strategic recommendations to strengthen client internal controls.
- Team Mentorship: Supervise, train, and review the work of Audit Associates, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and delivering high-level insights during closing meetings.
- Compliance & Taxation: Ensure all audits reflect the latest Qatari regulatory changes, including GTA (General Tax Authority) requirements.
Your Credentials
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional Certification: Fully qualified CPA, ACCA, or CA (Mandatory).
- Experience: 3–5 years of external audit experience, preferably within a mid-to-top tier accounting firm.
- Regional Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Qatar business environment and local tax laws.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Caseware (or similar audit software) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- The "Soft" Skills: Excellent command of English (written and verbal). You must have the ability to explain complex audit findings with clarity and professional diplomacy.
