Job Summary:
Ednex is looking for an experienced Import Export Executive to manage and oversee international shipments, ensuring smooth coordination between global suppliers, logistics partners, and customs authorities. This role requires expertise in handling end-to-end import/export operations, compliance with UAE and international trade regulations, and optimizing supply chain efficiency for overseas shipments.
Key Responsibilities:International Import & Export Operations:
Manage the complete import/export process for international shipments, including documentation, customs clearance, and freight coordination.
Handle shipping procedures for air, sea, and land freight, ensuring cost-effective and timely deliveries.
Verify and process international trade documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading/airway bills.
Coordinate with global suppliers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth shipping and clearance processes.
Monitor HS codes and ensure accurate classification of goods to avoid compliance issues.
Stay updated with UAE customs laws, VAT regulations, and free zone regulations to ensure all shipments comply with trade policies.
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination:
Plan and execute efficient international logistics strategies for inbound and outbound shipments.
Track shipments in real time to avoid delays and resolve customs or port-related issues.
Work closely with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure smooth receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Negotiate and manage contracts with international shipping providers to ensure the best rates and services.
Trade Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure compliance with UAE and international trade laws, import/export policies, and customs procedures.
Prepare and submit required permits and licenses for restricted goods.
Maintain detailed records of all import/export transactions, customs declarations, and vendor agreements.
Process and reconcile duty payments, VAT, and import/export duties as per regulatory requirements.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
Develop and maintain relationships with global suppliers, customs authorities, logistics providers, and government agencies.
Liaise with finance, procurement, and sales teams to align international shipping with business needs.
Resolve disputes related to international shipments, customs issues, and supplier non-compliance.
Risk Management & Cost Control:
Identify opportunities to reduce shipping costs, customs duties, and handling fees.
Mitigate risks associated with shipment delays, damages, and compliance violations.
Ensure proper insurance coverage for high-value international shipments and follow up on claims if necessary.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in international import/export operations (not in a shipping agency).
In-depth knowledge of UAE customs regulations, international trade laws, and documentation.
Experience with global shipping procedures, customs clearance, and free zone regulations.
Proficiency in handling international freight forwarding, logistics coordination, and supplier management.
Familiarity with Dubai Trade, customs portals, and ERP systems for logistics management.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: AED5,000.00 – AED7,000.00 per month
