Purpose:
Central Bank of Oman is seeking to recruit competent, committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic Omani candidate to work as Associate Project Manager.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Manage & execute the entire project life cycle activities as per CBO policies & procedures, including but not limited to:
Project Execution: Manage and execute the entire project lifecycle in accordance with CBO policies and procedures.
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather detailed functional and technical requirements. Prepare RFIs, RFPs, evaluation and compliance sheets, and other necessary documents.
Scope Definition: Lead formal requirements gathering sessions and value engineering workshops. Draft and refine the project scope, ensuring alignment with best practices and CBO standards.
Scope Verification: Ensure all requirements, including current or proposed system integrations, are fully covered in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Proposal Evaluation: Analyze vendor or contractor proposals, assessing feasibility, timeline, budget, and resource needs.
Project Charter: Work with the project sponsor to develop a comprehensive project charter, outlining scope, objectives, stakeholders, and constraints.
Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement process, from issuing tenders to evaluating bids and selecting vendors.
Contract Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop project contracts, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with project objectives. Obtain necessary approvals and documentation, including performance bonds.
Project Planning: Create a detailed project plan outlining tasks, resources, and schedules. Consider all prerequisites, approvals, and documentation required for successful execution.
Project Kick-Off: Host a project kick-off meeting to communicate objectives, roles, responsibilities, and expectations to all stakeholders.
Progress Monitoring: Track overall project progress, including milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource utilization.
Issue Management: Identify and recommend corrective actions to address issues, mitigate risks, and ensure project alignment with objectives.
Scope Management: Manage contract scope, cost, and timeline. Proactively analyze and address any change requests that arise during the project.
Meetings Management: Schedule and direct regular meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting management, and documentation of actions, recommendations, and decisions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Attend or present at public meetings and hearings concerning project development, as requested by CBO.
Budget Management: Obtain and evaluate all project-related costs. Regularly update the project budget and propose corrective actions for any deviations.
Cost Comparison: Update and refine comparisons of actual vs. projected costs. Develop strategies to manage budget overruns.
Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders through weekly and monthly status reports, and conduct status review meetings to assess progress.
Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test scenarios in collaboration with stakeholders to verify project outputs and milestones.
Site Verification: Inspect sites, review drawings, and as-built documentation to ensure work meets expectations, issuing regular progress reports.
