Job Title: Consolidation Manager (Contractual)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consolidation Manager for a contractual role to oversee and manage the financial consolidation process for a large group of companies. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth practical knowledge of consolidation processes, have a proven track record of handling consolidations for groups with 100+ entities, and be capable of managing a large team while effectively communicating with internal stakeholders at various levels. This is a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension to 1 year.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Consolidation
Lead the consolidation process for the group, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements, reports, and disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Ensure the seamless integration of financial data from subsidiaries, sub-subsidiaries, associates, and the holding company.
Management Reporting and Budget Reporting:
Develop and maintain robust management reporting frameworks to support strategic decision-making by providing timely, relevant, and accurate financial information.
Prepare and present periodic budget reports, including variance analysis to track actual performance against budgets, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and monitor budgets for subsidiaries, sub-subsidiaries, and associates, ensuring alignment with the group’s strategic goals.
Create dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide an overview of financial performance and facilitate effective monitoring.
Team Management:
Supervise, guide, and manage a team of financial professionals responsible for consolidation, group reporting, and management reporting tasks.
Allocate tasks effectively within the team and ensure timely completion of deadlines.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Coordinate with the management teams of the holding company, subsidiaries, sub-subsidiaries, and associates to ensure accurate and efficient consolidation.
Act as the primary point of contact for technical queries and provide expert guidance on consolidation and reporting processes.
Group Reporting:
Prepare comprehensive group reporting and ensure that financial data accurately reflects the company’s overall financial position.
Review and analyze financial results, providing management with actionable insights and recommendations.
Technical Expertise & Query Resolution:
Provide expert knowledge and answer technical queries related to the consolidation process, ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
Stay current with relevant accounting standards and best practices related to consolidation and reporting.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the consolidation and reporting processes.
Implement tools and systems to streamline activities related to financial consolidation, management reporting, and budget monitoring.
Qualifications & Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification is mandatory.
Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and reporting.
Proven experience in financial consolidation for large groups (100+ entities).
Strong knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or other financial management systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
