The Associate Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for supporting cybersecurity operations by monitoring security events, analyzing logs, investigating alerts, and maintaining security monitoring platforms. The role works closely with cybersecurity teams to identify threats, improve visibility, and support incident detection and response.
Minimum Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity functions and security operations.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM and log analysis, preferably using Splunk.
- Knowledge of log management systems and data engineering tools (e.g., Cribl).
- Good understanding of database concepts and query languages.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and Windows/Linux system administration.
- Basic scripting skills using Python and/or PowerShell.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Splunk Power User and Administration certifications are required.
