As an Assistant Store Manager, he/she will manage the day-to-day shop operations ranging from customer service to after-sales service and handle all administrative functions, being the main interface with the back office team. He/she will manage staff, control stock levels/inventories, organize shop layout, and prepare weekly/monthly reports. Furthermore, he/she shall attend buying if required and maintain an active customer database to achieve set targets and secure continuous added value at all times.
He/she will work closely with his/her respective Retail Manager for the smooth running of the Boutique operations.
Be present on the shop floor to generate sales and handle VIP customers.
Conduct sales analysis, follow market trends, and monitor competitors’ activity.
Propose improvements in store merchandising, opening hours, and product mix.
Produce quantitative and qualitative sales reports.
Customer Service
Identify customer potential needs and implement initiatives to meet those needs.
Ensure consistent customer service and handle all complaints.
Build, maintain, and utilize the customer database.
Stock Management
Record all received goods and ensure proper stock control and documentation of stock movements.
Supervise replenishment to prevent overstock and suggest corrective actions.
Prepare for inventory counts.
General Operations
Coordinate with back office, suppliers, logistics, marketing, and merchandising teams regarding new launches, store animations, or renovations, and provide feedback.
Follow up with Mall Management on permits and security issues.
Monitor customer flow and prevent theft or violations.
Acquire product knowledge to enhance customer awareness and monitor inventory and stock levels.
Review sales figures and assist in pricing adjustments.
Organize shop layout, merchandise, and display items effectively.
Decorate and animate window displays according to brand standards.
Conduct regular checks on stockroom and shelf organization and cleanliness.
Ensure staff compliance with procedures and smooth daily operations.
Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, housekeeping, and display.
Implement merchandising guidelines and conduct daily presentation checks.
People Management
Prepare schedules to ensure full shop coverage and maintain staff grooming standards.
Participate in recruitment of shop staff and sales executives within his/her domain.
Manage, engage, and delegate responsibilities within the team.
Conduct performance assessments and provide coaching and training.
Reconcile daily reports with the Accounting Department.
Ensure proper labeling and receipt of shipments with the PSAS Department.
Set staff monthly objectives and discuss staff issues such as leave and confirmations.
Coordinate stock transfers and provide monthly feedback on product movement.
Generate reports on sales and stock movement to assist in buying decisions.
Your Profile:
Previous experience in a managerial role in luxury retail.
Accurate, detail-oriented, and procedural.
Flexible, able to work under pressure, and presentable.
Outgoing, passionate about fashion, and excellent team management skills.
