GENERAL ROLE
As the Assistant Outlet Manager at Miraval The Red Sea, you play a vital role in elevating service standards, strengthening operational consistency, and embedding a culture of quality across outlet. This role focuses on colleague training, quality mindset development, and operational support to ensure every guest interaction reflects Miraval’s principles of mindfulness, balance, and authentic connection. Supports the Outlets Manager/Director of F&B in developing colleagues, monitoring service delivery, and ensuring that the F&B team consistently delivers nourishing, mindful, and guest-centered experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Excellence & Quality Assurance
- Promote and reinforce Miraval’s service and quality standards across the Outlet.
- Conduct regular service audits, workflow observations, and quality checks within the Outlet operations to ensure consistency.
- Identify service gaps specific to Outlet and collaborate with leadership to implement corrective actions.
- Support the creation of a strong quality mindset among Outlets colleagues through daily coaching and positive reinforcement.
- Ensure all colleagues understand and apply mindful service behaviors aligned with the brand.
Training & Development
- Select, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees, Team leaders, hostesses and waiters in F&B dining outlets to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
- The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
- Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
- The ability to work closely with the Outlets manager and Director of Food & Beverage, and other food and beverage Assistant Managers, Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to design an effective menu and drinks list while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control.
- Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and Team leaders.
- Prepare monthly training calendars and ensure training is conducted.
- Review performance of the line staff regularly.
- Ensure that working tools are maintained at per levels by controlling breakage and spoilage.
- Ensure that dining outlets and back areas are maintained hygienically and in order.
- Attend the departmental meetings and any other other meetings as may be required.
- Ensure that line staff vacations are well coordinated.
- Ensure that assigned projects are completed in the given time spun.
- Ensure grooming is observed as per policy.
- Continuously enhance the look and feel of the outlets.
Guest Experience & Feedback
- Engage with guests to understand their needs and ensure personalized, mindful service.
- Support the collection and analysis of guests feedback to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in service recovery efforts within with empathy and professionalism.
- Ensure that guest concerns related to service quality are addressed promptly and effectively.
Cross Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Culinary, Wellness, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Stewarding teams to ensure seamless experiences.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and service excellence projects across the resort, with a focus on operations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a luxury Food and Beverage environment
- Fluency in both Arabic and English to lead staff and comfortably engage with Arabic-speaking guests.
- Strong training and coaching abilities for colleagues.
- High emotional intelligence and professional composure in guest-facing and team interactions.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to quality and operations.
- Ability to inspire and motivate colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving and service recovery skills specific to service.
