Assistant Merchandiser Jobs in Doha, Qatar at Tanqeeb
The role is responsible for providing assistance to the Merchandisers on stock displays per planogram, taking initiative on stock replenishments, and following methods as per the principal, including FIFO system. The role applies knowledge of basic instructions and job execution to support the immediate goals of the business unit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute instructions provided by the Merchandiser, who acts as the immediate mentor, while learning the workflow for potential advancement.
Take initiative to learn product display methodology and implement it with minimal supervision.
Obtain prior approval from the Merchandiser or Sales Manager for steps beyond standard instructions.
Handle basic customer queries on the spot; escalate complex issues to the next line in-charge.
Implement Merchandiser’s objectives operationally within the assigned business unit or store outlet as part of the frontline sales team.
Perform physical tasks requiring strength and adaptability in diverse, busy environments.
Work under extreme weather conditions, with mobility being crucial.
Manipulate physical goods from shelves and storage areas as part of daily responsibilities.
Skills
Secondary education or vocational training.
At least 1 year of customer-oriented work experience, sales experience is advantageous.
Experience in diverse environments is beneficial.
Basic English communication skills are required.
Knowledge of additional languages like Hindi, Urdu, or Arabic is an advantage.
Driving skills are not mandatory but beneficial if available.
Highly trainable, capable of handling physical challenges under extreme weather conditions.
