Position: ASSISTANT HEAD, PHYSICAL REHABILITATION
Summary
Provides administrative support to Head, Physical Rehabilitation, in daily operational activities. Plans, controls, coordinates, and measures the work of the department as required.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Assists with resolution of daily operational problems, and provides recommendations regarding department policies.
Ensures optimum utilization of the Department resources as equipment, supplies, warehouse stock items, space and personnel.
Oversees the assignment schedule and leave planning for the department personnel, and ensures staff coverage as required.
Provides immediate supervision of Physical Therapy supervisors.
Support annual planning, manpower utilization, and efficiency initiative.
Evaluates equipment and makes recommendations regarding purchases, and ensures proper maintenance of equipment’s.
Assists with revision and implementation of departmental policies, procedures and goals, and recommends disciplinary actions, as required.
Develops data and initiates proposal for changes to improve the operating efficiency of various Physical Therapy functions.
Assists the head of the department in preparing reports and performance indicators, and ensures that all reports are submitted on a timely basis.
Assists with evaluation and selection of employment candidates.
Supports compliance with CBAHI, JCI, and other regulatory requirements. Ensure department readiness for audits and accreditation activities.
Liaises with Protocol Services to arrange and facilitate VIP patient treatment.
Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.
Participates in self and others’ education, training and development, as applicable
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational or Physical Therapy is required
Experience Required
Eight (8) years of related experiences with Master’s, or ten (10) years with Bachelor’s including three (3) years in a senior/ supervisory capacity is required.
Other Requirements (Certificates)
Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
