We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Estimator to support our company’s day-to-day operations.
Job description
- Analyze the project specifications, blueprints, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand the scope of work, materials required, and manufacturing process involved.
- Estimate quantities, surface areas, volumes, etc. and perform material take-offs to determine the quantities of raw materials needed for fabrication.
- Preparation of BOQ with description based on quantity take-offs.
- Work with Purchasing Department to solicit and collect material cost.
- Work with Engineering Department to identify optimal material utilization and fabrication methods.
- Work with Production Department to establish fabrication rates and options for fabrication methods.
- Compute cost by identifying materials, purchased items, fabrication processes and time requirements.
- Preparing quotation as per project requirements, technical drawings and associated specifications.
- Contribute to team effort by performing other duties within the Estimation Department and other Departments, including Production, as needed.
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating.
- Knowledgeable in metal fabrication techniques and processes.
Education / Experience
- Civil/ Mechanical Engineering background
- With background/ experience in metal fabrication industry: 1-2years (Preferred)
- Metal fabrication estimator experience in UAE: 1-2years (Preferred)
- Preferably Philippines Nationality.
- Salary: AED 3000- 3500 depending on experience
Pay: AED3,000.00 – AED3,500.00 per month
