Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Foreman with at least 5 years of experience in the telecom industry to lead and manage a team of technicians. The successful candidate will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems, including fiber optic, copper, and wireless networks. As a Foreman, you will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, lead, and coordinate the daily activities of a team of technicians and assistants in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecom networks.
Ensure all projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with client specifications and industry standards.
Plan and schedule work for the team, ensuring timely completion of tasks and resolving any project delays or issues.
Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and project specifications.
Review and approve daily work reports, material requisitions, and time logs submitted by team members.
Mentor, train, and guide junior technicians, ensuring they understand and follow safety protocols and industry best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site, providing practical solutions and escalating complex problems as necessary.
Coordinate with clients, vendors, and other departments to ensure the availability of materials, tools, and resources for the team.
Maintain a high standard of work quality by ensuring installations and repairs meet company and industry standards.
Oversee inventory management of tools, materials, and equipment, ensuring items are available and in good working condition.
Prepare and present progress reports on project status to management and clients.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety meetings, risk assessments, and audits.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of telecom systems, including fiber optics, copper cables, and wireless networks.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and project plans.
Proven leadership skills, with experience managing teams and coordinating large-scale projects.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations in the telecom industry.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in telecommunications systems, fiber optics, or project management.
Familiarity with advanced telecom equipment and testing tools, such as OTDRs and splicing machines.
Previous experience managing network installations, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry equipment.
Ability to work in various outdoor environments and adverse weather conditions.
Willingness to travel to different job sites as required.
Working Hours:
According to labour law.
Salary:
4800/- AED without accommodation
