Assistant Contracts Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor (DUBAI RTA EXP ONLY) Jobs in Dubai at China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation
CCECC is looking for an experienced Assistant Contracts Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our project team for a major Dubai RTA infrastructure project.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in commercial and contract administration, quantity surveying, variations, claims, subcontract management, cost control, and infrastructure construction projects in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Contracts/Commercial Manager in the overall contractual and commercial management of the project.
- Review and administer the main contract, subcontract agreements, purchase orders and other commercial documents.
- Prepare, review and manage variations, change orders, claims, notices and contractual correspondence.
- Identify contractual and commercial risks and ensure timely issuance of required notices and substantiation.
- Prepare and review interim payment applications, valuations and final accounts.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations, variations, payment applications and claims.
- Manage subcontract procurement, commercial negotiations and subcontract administration.
- Carry out quantity take-offs, BOQ verification, measurement and valuation of completed works.
- Monitor project budgets, commitments, cost reports, forecasts and cash flow.
- Prepare cost-to-complete and commercial reports for project management.
- Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Construction, Procurement and Finance teams regarding commercial and contractual matters.
- Work closely with the Consultant/Engineer and Client representatives regarding variations, payments and contractual issues.
- Assist in preparing Extension of Time (EOT), prolongation, disruption and other contractual claims, where required.
- Maintain proper contractual records and supporting documentation for potential claims and disputes.
- Support negotiation and settlement of variations, subcontractor accounts and project final account.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, Commercial or Contracts Management.
- Strong experience in roads, bridges, utilities, infrastructure or major civil construction projects.
- UAE project experience is mandatory/preferred.
- Previous experience working on Dubai RTA projects will be highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC and construction contract administration.
- Good experience in variations, claims, EOT, subcontract administration, cost control and final accounts.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contractual risks.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, negotiation and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and commercial/QS reporting tools.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates currently working or previously experienced as:
Assistant Contracts Manager | Senior Quantity Surveyor | Senior QS | Contracts Engineer | Senior Contracts Engineer | Commercial Engineer | Commercial Quantity Surveyor
Experience with major UAE road and infrastructure contractors or consultants, particularly on RTA projects, will be an advantage.
Pay: AED18,000.00 – AED30,000.00 per month
