The Role
As an Assistant Chief Steward, your role is to assist in overseeing the stewardship operations, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all back of house areas, kitchens, and operational equipment. You will support the Chief Steward in managing the team, driving efficiency, and ensuring compliance with hygiene standards and safety protocols. Your leadership will contribute to creating a seamless, high-performing environment where both team members and guests enjoy exceptional standards of service.

Key Areas of Responsibilities
Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As an Assistant Chief Steward, you will need to:
- Assist in supervising the daily operations of the stewarding department, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are maintained across all areas, including kitchens, dishwashing, and storage areas.
- Coordinate and support the team in performing cleaning duties, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Help manage inventory of cleaning supplies and operating equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained and properly stored.
- Provide leadership and training to team members to ensure high standards of performance, hygiene, and safety.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals, and oversee the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Conduct regular inspections of back-of-house areas to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to Red Sea Global standards.
- Assist in the preparation of work schedules and monitor team members to ensure adherence to set deadlines and operational guidelines.
- Play an active role in promoting and implementing energy-conservation and environmentally friendly practices within the department.
- Perform any additional duties as required to ensure smooth and efficient department operations.
