Asset Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Asset Engineer to join our Facilities Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the lifecycle management of facility assets, ensuring accurate asset data, optimizing asset performance, and coordinating maintenance activities. The role also involves monitoring asset condition, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate asset registers and asset-related documentation.
- Coordinate asset tracking, inspections, and condition assessments across the facility.
- Monitor asset performance and recommend maintenance, refurbishment, or replacement strategies.
- Support the implementation of asset management plans and lifecycle optimization initiatives.
- Conduct asset audits and inspections to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze asset performance data and prepare reports, KPIs, and recommendations for management.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure asset information supports preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure all asset records are maintained within the CAFM/Asset Management System.
- Support asset handover, commissioning, and asset verification activities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and contractors to improve asset reliability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and relevant asset management standards.
- Perform other asset management duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Asset Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Asset Management or Facilities Management (e.g., CFM, IAM, ISO 55001) are considered an advantage.
- Proven experience in Facilities Management, Asset Management, or Engineering.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and maintenance principles.
- Knowledge of building services, MEP systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Experience using CAFM, CMMS, or Asset Management Systems.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of asset management standards and industry best practices is preferred.
