Your Job
This role is responsible for assembling prefabricated parts, using both welding (TIG/MIG) and bolt-on assembly methods according to drawings and blueprints. In addition, the Assembler/Fitter is required to comply with KOCH safety requirements and behave in a manner that is aligned with ourcompany culture.

What You Will Do
Set up fixtures, mount parts in fixtures, and perform mechanical assembly.
Tack and stitch welds using GMAW/ MIG welding methods.
Perform a variety of tasks in production assembly operations on mechanical assembly and sub-assemblies.
Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, fit up, and welding operations of structures.
Use measuring tools and instruments, as provided and appropriate, to assure accuracy in dimensions of work in process.
Read and comply with Work Instruction Process Sheets and Blueprints.
Use basic hand and air tools such as drill, grinder, cutting wheels, wrench, and clamps.
Perform other duties as required.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Exposure as Assembler/welder.
Exposure in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings in English.
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.).
Deftness andattention to detail.
Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions.
Welding certificate and good knowledge of different types of metal and their properties is a plus.
