Role Description

As the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strong relationships with potential clients, and contributing to the company’s growth and revenue generation. You will take ownership of executing an ambitious Sales Growth strategy within your assigned territories in close collaboration with the channel sales as well as, direct sales.

Responsibilities

Sales Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement annual sales plans with each channel partner, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Target Achievement:
Meet or exceed sales quotas for each territory as outlined in the sales plans.

Pipeline and Account Management:
Collaborate with channel partners to implement effective pipeline management and develop account penetration strategies.

Customer Engagement:
Establish yourself as a trusted advisor by analyzing customer needs, mastering product and application knowledge, and differentiating from competitors.

Reporting:
Provide monthly reports summarizing sales activities and opportunities, including a 30-60-90-day opportunity pipeline.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Sales Leadership:
Minimum of 5 years experience in sales leadership, preferably in liquid analyzers.

Communication and Negotiation:
Excellent skills in communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation.

Travel Flexibility:
Ability to travel up to 60-70% of the time.

Technical Proficiency:
Technical expertise in online water analyzers.

Market Knowledge:
Familiarity with Power, municipal, industrial, and pharma markets and applications.
