Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Area Manager to oversee and manage multiple engineering and construction projects across Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring successful project delivery, overseeing project controls, managing delays and claims, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring compliance with contractual and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and extensive experience in project management within the construction and consultancy industry.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the execution and performance of multiple projects across the assigned region.
Manage project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
Monitor project schedules, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
Lead project planning, resource allocation, and progress monitoring.
Review project reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to ensure operational excellence.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
Manage project risks, claims, and contractual matters in accordance with FIDIC conditions.
Analyze project delays and prepare extension of time (EOT) claims and supporting documentation.
Resolve project disputes and participate in negotiations, arbitration, and claim settlements where required.
Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, company policies, health & safety, and quality standards.
Support business development activities and maintain strong client relationships.
Mentor and develop project managers and engineering teams.
Prepare executive reports and present project status updates to senior management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Project Management or Engineering is preferred.
Minimum 10–15 years of experience in construction, engineering consultancy, or project management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
Proven experience managing large-scale building and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
Strong knowledge of project controls, planning, scheduling, cost management, and risk management.
Extensive experience in project delay analysis, claims preparation, and dispute resolution.
Strong understanding of FIDIC Contracts and contract administration.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
Master’s Degree in Project Management or Engineering.
Diploma or Certification in Claims & Arbitration.
Certified Delay Analyst.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
P3O (Portfolio, Programme & Project Offices) certification.
FIDIC Certified or extensive experience working under FIDIC contracts.
OSHA or NEBOSH Health & Safety certification.
